You don't even need to take high school physics. However, generally you'll need the basics like 3 units of math, 3 units of sciences, and so on. There will probably be pre-reqs so if you don't test out, you'll have to take those.Request an information brochure from the colleges you are looking at. They will have the info you need.
References :
Was accepted without physics. You don’t need those. You don’t even need to take high school physics. If so, you will need College Algebra and Physics. This Physics is just general, like an overview of physics concepts. However, once you enter the DMS program you will take more in depth Physics that is specific to ultrasound technology. I'm not a math person, but the math involved is not really difficult. I do think Ultrasound Physics is hard, but I maintain about a B. Side note: make sure you find an accredited program: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/ Good luck :)
References :
DMS student Are you talking about the college pre-requisites that you have to take before applying?

Comment on Is it a requirement that you go to war in Canadian Reserve Forces? by Donald http://www-nursing-schools.com/blog/medical-technician-training/is-it-a-requirement-that-you-go-to-war-in-canadian-reserve-forces#comment-3344 Donald Sun, 07 Mar 2010 23:24:59 +0000 http://www-nursing-schools.com/blog/medical-technician-training/is-it-a-requirement-that-you-go-to-war-in-canadian-reserve-forces#comment-3344 In the Reserves, there is no minimum amount of time to serve. You can release at any time, you just have to follow the correct procedure. There is a program in place where you can have your first degree subsidized, they reimburse 1/2 the costs up the $2000/year, with a maximum total reimbursement of $8000. You have to apply for this program, although it is relatively easy to get approval. All CF personnel, regardless of what branch or trade learn how to use the C-7 Rifle. If you are in the army element (army med tech for example), you will also learn all the support weapons up to platoon level on your soldier qualification. Pay rates for reservists can be found here: http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/dgcb-dgras/ps/pay-sol/pr-sol/rfncmr-mrfr-01-eng.asp A med tech gets standard pay, so you would get 84.44/day while undergoing training. After a year you go up to the next incentive level. When you get promoted to corporal, you will go to standard-basic (123.24), then up one level every year. Most reservists attend one evening of training per week (4 x 0.5 day/month), and one weekend a month (2.5 day), which means you can generally expect 4.5 days pay per month. However, there are always opportunities to work extra casual days, as well as full-time in the summer. To go on an operational mission (which is voluntary for reservists), you have to first be fully qualified in your trade (usually 1-2 years), be merited by your unit, and then pass a regular force selection process and complete work-up training. You would likely be in the army reserves for 2-3 years before you get to that point, but we do have people on operations right now with about 2 years in. You also have a whole administrative screening process that has to take place, including your mental and physical health, your current social situation, financial situation, legal status (e.g. no pending lawsuits), security clearance etc. For each check item you are either green (go), yellow (pending), or red (no-go). You can't deploy unless every one of those items is 'green'.
References :
In the Reserves, there is no minimum amount of time to serve. Are your grades that bad? Therer are other medical fields also. Radiology is a good one. Apply and then see what happens. I would avoid LPN programs as there is not alot of room to expand. I would try a home health aide job to see if you really like direct patient.care, instead of bothering with the medical assistant program.
References :
First of all why are you so worried about not getting into a nursing school? Wait until you know for sure what the result is then work something out with your tutors. Worrying over nothing or what could happen is the quickest way to get ulcers. so cheer up and wait without worrying. by the way GOOD LUCK!
References :
wow, you do worry beforehand. If that were true then you could take comfort in the fact that others are being punished a lot worse than you. So loose the "poor me" and move on with positive actions. Pursue another health care option that you can get a job in for awhile. The vocational counselor can help with that. Then in a few months or years, if you still want to try to get in nursing, you will show them that you are serious about the health care field. If you don't get in each try, then you still win with a health care field job.
References :
God is not punishing you.
