You can attend conventions, seminars, and award dinners where your colleagues are being recognized and honored.  Of the cohort one graduates, four were employed in the OR, four were employed in postanesthesia care units, and four were employed in intensive care units to gain the necessary one year of experience before acceptance to nurse anesthetist programs.

Among junior baccalaureate nursing students entering in fall 1999 (ie, cohort two, n = 142), 51 (36%) were randomly assigned to the perioperative site.  Part I includes 26 multiple-choice questions, 14 true-or-false questions, and 10 rank-order items.

The social pressures that have shaped nursing in the past persist today in new forms. 7%) were male, and the remaining students were female, reflecting the total class gender composition.

The College of Nursing, one of six professional colleges in the health science center, offers bachelor of science, master of science, and doctoral degrees in nursing.  For every space that was filled in the college of nursing in 1998 and 1999, five qualified students were rejected.
