Superman Villains - Little Known Facts About Doomsday
Ever wanted to learn more about Doomsday? Your chance is finally here. Doomsday first appeared in 1992 in Superman: The man of steel. He was created by an alien scientist who wished to create the perfect life form. The process which created Doomsday was the most pity invoking of all Superman villains.
He was placed out as an infant, to die by the vicious atmosphere of Krypton in it's most violent time. When the baby died, whatever was left was harvested and used again to recreate him, only to let him die again.
This process happened thousands of thousands of times so that this being would be a better, stronger life each time until he reached perfection. However, the memory of these agonizing deaths would remain imprinted on Doomsday's brain and force him to hate all life.
For this most menacing of Superman villains, defeating the entire Justice League was achieved easily, and this caught Superman's attention. In fact, he battled the team with one hand tied behind his back, literally.
Maxima was the only one of the bunch who could have any chance of defending herself against Doomsday. After Doomsday caught Superman's attentions, the two would eventually battle. Superman had met more than he was able to handle when he met the most difficult of all Superman villain's, Doomsday. After fighting, began to lose strength quickly while taking a lot of hits. Neither, however, would give up.
Then, in a historic moment of superhero comic book legends, Doomsday and Superman strike each other at the same time, causing an unforgettable and history making event. Thus, the end of Superman, and the legacy lives on.
Doomsday was taken by a Cyborg, and was sent to a faraway place where readers assumed he would stay, however, this was not the case. Doomsday was to be put together one more time, ever reaching that perfect form.
