A Healthy Diet Can Help Diminish Your Tinnitus
Two years is a long time to suffer from tinnitus. It took me that long to find treatment for the almost constant ringing noise in my ears. Feeling totally hopeless and losing control of the noise that I was living with each and every day, to know there was a treatment for me helps me tremendously. I had always heard that there was no treatment for this condition.
But I was just so lucky when I bumped into an old friend from college a few weeks ago. That was a very memorable day for me. That was also the day when I received a very important and good news coming from my friend in college. I was able to share with her my problem with my tinnitus and I was just glad I did.
I found out that although her husband also suffered from tinnitus, he had found a treatment that was effective enough to allow him to live a normal lifestyle. I could hardly believe it when she told me about the full life her husband was living in spite of tinnitus. I hadn't thought it was possible, but after talking with her I felt renewed hope that these treatments could make a difference in my life, too.
I began my treatment by altering the things I ate. I examined many known negatives such as liquor and coffee and eliminated them from the things I consumed. I also slowly attempted to end my cigarette habit. Currently I am attempting both western and eastern therapies to relieve my symptoms. I can definitely sense a difference in the problem.
Although these alterations to my daily routine seem minimal, I am thankful for the reduction in my symptoms. Once I was afraid that I would have to live with the trouble for the rest of my life. I am no longer petrified, and can now enjoy my life both at home and at work. My concentration is better, and I am more capable of keeping myself occupied.
My diet now involves eating food rich in Vitamins A, B complex, C, D and E. This is to boost my immune system and keep me stress me. I have learned that stress can only make my ear ring much louder. So to keep me stress free, I need to have enough rest and sleep and of course a well-balanced diet.
Now knowing that tinnitus can be treated has greatly reduced my level of stress. With a reduced stress level, I am able to sleep well and not dwell as much on my tinnitus. With increased sleep and lowered stress, my ear ringing and buzzing seems to have decreased as well.
