Cheap Wedding Shoes - Are Cheap Wedding Shoes Just a Myth?

by Coreen Christobel

If you're getting married, and you're on a limited budget, you may want to think about your shoes. If you want to save a lot of money, cheap wedding shoes are the way to go.

With designer shoes costing hundreds of dollars, this part of your bridal outfit could easily add to the growing cost of the most romantic day of your life if you don't shop around.

However, you have plenty of options if you are looking to buy some nice shoes that won't cost you a fortune.

First, think about getting dyeable shoes. Most often associated with high school dances and bridesmaids, dyeable shoes come in bright white and have a surface that can be dyed literally any color. But they don't have to be dyed!

Their satiny finish is beautiful by itself and can complement a white wedding gown quite nicely. In recent years, more and more styles of dyeable shoes have become available, and they are usually very cost effective.

A second option is to consider a discount shoe chain. Stores like Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse and DSW have huge selections of shoes that are always changing. You can find brand and designer name shoes at these places for a fraction of the regular price.

In the months before your wedding, it's worth taking a few trips to some of these stores. Since the stock is always changing, you will have an excellent chance of getting a pair of cheap wedding shoes.

Consider the style of your wedding. If you're not planning on the traditional or formal wedding, you have even more options. Will your wedding be in the spring or summer, perhaps on the beach? Get some great silver or white flip flops.

Right now they are hugely popular, which means there are thousands of variations available, and they're cheap. Don't forget to consider sandals or perhaps ballet flats, depending on the image you're going for.

Don't give up! You have plenty of options available to you if you're looking for cheap wedding shoes.
