Do Anti-wrinkle Creams Work?
Everywhere we look today there are beautiful women. They are in every magazine, on the televisions and in the movies. These women look as if they never age. This leaves all of the other women wondering what their secret to eternal youth is. Anti-wrinkle creams are one of the most popular products offered today, but do they really work.
What causes wrinkles? The number one reason for wrinkles is, well, aging. As we age, our skin cells don't divide was fast as they did when we were younger. This causes the inner part of the skin to begin to thin and loose the elasticity. Sagging skin is a result of this thinning. Since our skins looses the ability to repair as we age, this sagging of the skin is unstoppable.
The other things that cause wrinkles are excessive sunlight, smoking and even pollution. The toxins that smoke emits causes deterioration of the skin. This will kill your skin cells and cause you to wrinkle.
To help you with your battle with wrinkles, there are many solutions available. You can have injections, facelifts, and use creams. The injections are toxic to your body so research this option before you try it. Always keep your health in mind before doing anything to your self.
You can also have a facelift done, but these usually do not last past five years. You should beware of the scams associated with doctors and facelifts. The side effects are right after surgery your face can swell and bruise. This could last for a couple of months after. Ask yourself if it is worth it.
Then we ask again, do wrinkle creams really work? The trick to this is to find the right one. There are many perscription creams available as well as over the counter creams. Always read the label to make sure you are using as safe, but effective cream.
An important ingredient to look for is Vitamin A. With the antioxidants in Vitamin A it not only makes your skin soft, but also boosts the appearance of your skin. If you are pregnant you should always ask your doctor first if you should use any cream with Vitamin A in it.
So, do wrinkle creams really work? The only way to know for sure is to try it yourself. No matter what you choose to use to battle your wrinkles, make sure you do your research. Pick a product that is safe and effective. You don't want to waist your money on harmful products and procedures that will not work.
