Invest Your Money In The Right Stretch Marks Removal

by Jen Hopkins

Scars and stretch marks form when wounds are healed either on the surface or beneath the surface of the skin. People generally understand the formation of scars on the surface of the skin as visible wounds were seen. Once this wound heals by collagen deposition, the formation of scars is very evident.

Scars formed beneath the skin such as stretch marks are harder to understand. This is because no visible wound is seen on the surface of the skin, but scars are still able to form. Such scars form due to the excessive stretching of the skin, which results in the tearing of its dermal layer. It is visible on the surface as the upper layer of the skin has also become thin enough to see the underlying layer.

Once these tears heal, it will also form scars beneath the surface of the skin. But because the layer of the skin above this area is already thin, the ensuing scar formed is still noticeable on the surface. These are what we commonly refer to as stretch marks.

Due to the many advances in technology, there have been many ways developed in getting rid of these marks. On way is through the use of scar removal creams which work by increasing cell regeneration. In addition to this, they also have some exfoliating effects to help get rid of the old cells and collagen deposited on the scar.

Home remedies developed towards getting rid of scars are through the use of cocoa butter and other moisturizing creams to help make the skin smoother and make scars less visible. Others may also try applying vitamin C or E on the affected area which helps in better skin. While all of these procedures may be good for the growth of skin cells, most of these will also not work in getting rid of scars for good. More often than not, there will still be traces of the scar left behind on the skin.

If you really want to get rid of these unwanted marks on your body, the best way to do this is through treatments that are made especially for these types of skin problems. One such treatment that you can undergo is microdermabrasion. This method will get rid of scars by physically of chemically removing them from the skin. This way, the scars are literally sloughed off from the skin so that no traces will be left.

Another method which works by burning away the scar tissue is through laser treatments. This is more specific to the scar as it does not affect the normal cells of your skin so it won't leave your skin raw. It only removes the unwanted scar, which will be later replaced by new cells.

The only way to get rid of scars and stretch marks permanently is by undergoing expensive treatments such as microdermabrasion and laser treatments. This will take away scars completely without leaving any traces. But if you don't have the money to pay for such procedures, or you are content with making scars less visible, then you can use scar removal creams and home remedies instead.
